I am glad you jumped in on this one btw ...

> Stingray is Mantaraya, Manta OR Raya
Which also helps to explain where "Manta Ray" came from.

Mako Shark???
> Tiburón tigre (tiger shark Galeocerdo cuvieri)"
Easy to figure out.
> Jaquéton OR Comedor de hombres (men eater) (charcharodon Charcharias)"
Interesting considering that this is also the name given to the largest
shark to ever swim the oceans in prehistoric times. Something on the scale
of the the Great White from Jaws-3, but built like a Great White and not a
Whale Shark.
> Pex martillo (hammer shark Sphyrna zigoena)
Hammerhead, and one of only two-three species of sharks to actively patrol
the ocean in packs by the way. And the ONLY shark to be seen traveling in
HERDS of over 100 fish at a time without food as an immediately obvious
catalyst. Recent information also points to White sharks as being mildly
pack-oriented for short periods of time. Nurse sharks are the only other
shark that immediately springs to mind as remaining in "packs" of any real
size for more than merely food related reasons.
> Tintorera OR el gran blanco The big white (Prionace glauca)"
Great White, that was easy.
> Pez zorro (fox fish (Alopias spp)
Dog Shark is another common name for this one, although in the Sea of Cortez
there is also a Fox Shark as well, but I don't recall much more than this.

It did for me, nice catalyst to make me remember more of this. Thanks.
