Yes it is. Shadowrun only differentiates skills based on if its a base skill
or specialization as related to its linked Attribute. My option tries to not
only takes that into account but also the relative difficulty of the skill
to begin with. All <insert Attribute here> based skills are not equally as
difficult to learn as SR abstracts out. Unless you are seriously saying
learning how to drive a motorcycle is just as easy to learn as piloting a
space shuttle.

In SR3 the cost is only based on:
1) The skills Rating compared to the linked Attribute Rating.
2) If its an Active or Knowledge Skill
3) If it is a base skill or specialization

There are not multiple "layers" of multipliers. ALL Active skills at twice
the linked Attribute rating cost 2.5 x new level.

SR2 didn't even have linked Attributes.

Because it might be interesting to have a bit more depth to the simplistic
SR skill system?
