I for one would go with SR3 if you're just starting out. However if you're
more experienced with Shadowrun or with gaming in general you might enjoy the
Companion as it gives a few advanced options that otherwise wouldn't be
available. Also if you're a more advanced player, pick up the Cannon
Companion for it's optional melee combat rules using martial art styles.
