Armor Weight (an example):

CARboy (apologies to J Roberson) likes medium sized cars. He as two; one for
daily driving and one for combat duty. He jams a 300 ESU engine in both of them
giving the car 90,000 PU. The base mass for each car is 1000 for chassis
and 300 for the engine for a total of 1300 kg.

With no armor the car has speed of 69/207. This is one sporty car.

Now for the car he rides around town he puts 2 points of armor to keep gravel
from putting dings on the fender. This increases the mass 200 kg (1000/10) to
1500 kg. It also reduces speed to 60/180. Not a bad loss of speed. After all
this armor won't even keep people from smashing the car with a baseball bat.

The battle car is a different story. CARboy wants to keep assault rifles from
damaging this baby. He puts 10 points of armor on it, increasing the mass by
1000 kg to 2300. This reduces the speed to 39/117. He's about as fast as a
limo, which is O.K. since that's what he'll be chasing most of the time.

Does this sound good or do we need to change the armor weight?

About 53 mph cruising speed. sounds resonable.

about 30 mph cs/90 maybe alittle high fo r 10 point but there is more to the
car then chassis, engine and armor so this may work out.

sounds good in terms of power let's look at economy.

base car = 1300 kg or 21.5 (28000/1300) kpl

everyday car = 1500 kg or 18.7 kpl

tank = 2300 kg or 12.2 kpl

Does this look good?
