may contain a tone that is not very nice. If you are easily
offended by people speaking their minds, you are advised to stop
I'm frankly a little angry. Not at the fact that people are
shooting down my ideas. No, I'm angry that there are 35 people
subscribed to this list and we've only gotten comments from a few
This mailing list is not just a discussion group. This is
supposed to be a group of people who have come together to create
something that we all seem to feel is lacking from the shadowrun
game. That being a coherent, useable set of vehicle construction
rules. 35 people have signed on to this adventure, and only a few
are, quite frankly, doing anything.
We are in the phases right now of trying to work out the very
basic construction guideline. These things we are working on will
effect EVERYTHING that we work on in the future. It would behoove
you to take a few minutes to read over what is being talked about
and then COMMENT TO EVERYONE ELSE ABOUT IT. Even if you post "I
really don't care one way or the other", that would at least tell
us that perhaps we are spending too much time and energy on
something that is unimportant.
Dammit, if this thing is going to work, we have to want it to
work. To make a group project work requires participation by the
group. I can't do it all myself. I know Jason can't. And
neither can the others who at least are posting.
So, I guess I'm saying, if you don't want to help at the beginning
when we need the input, then don't start complaining at the end if
it turns out to be something you hate. This is your chance to try
to help form shadowrun vehicles to your whims. You have one chance
to take it.
Finally, please don't post "I'm busy with school/work and don't
ahve enough time." If that's the case, then why did you join the
project? I'm just as busy as everyone else. We all have lives
outside of the net that we must give time too. But you have to
prioritize. If you don't ahve enough to make vehicle rules, then
perhaps you shouldn't be on the list.
No, I'm not telling everyone to sign off, I'm just saying that we
need people who are willing to give the limited amount of time
that is needed to make the project progress forward.
In any case, I'll shut up now. If you fell like flaming me for
this, that is your choice, but I'm really trying to get this thing
