Okay, Hayden, you finally got me to actually post over here...
The reasons I haven't responded:
1) Time
2) This list has a HIGH signal/noise ratio. I spend more time BROWSING
through this list than I do READING Shadowrn. This is good. However, I start
to see stars after only a few charts fly by (and this after only one month of
being a business major! *duck*).

So, after spring break, (started today), you will probably actually see me
posting. It looks like you have all the basics set up. Now I need to print em
up, and start commenting. I like it so far... I personally can go either way
with the system. I'd like to see a "simple simon" chart for the mathematically
declined *grin*, but also a techie type. Also remember that most of us haven't
dared touch math since that Foreign-language-speaking prof gave us a D in calc
III (or 2, or 1...).

I will try to set aside time for this. I flunked physics last year, and so most
of that goes over my head. The basic formulas, though, are simple simon! I'm
surprised that no one has noticed this. This ain't a flame, but I didn't think
that the formula
range = mileage
-------------
units of fuel
had to be stated. I also like the idea of several "Base" engines, like in RBB,
but with more modifications allowed. Fuel-injectors, etc were mentioned.
If we do, say, 3 engines per car-body-attribute, this would probably cover
all the options, while still retaining power and the like.
One engine could be the gas guzzler, but has INCREDIBLE speed/acceleration
Another could be the workhorse: can carry ANY weight, but still likes gas.
The final would be a conservation engine: good mileage.

What do yall think about this?
See you in a week, guys!
