My Votes:
I would prefer a relative system that allows for a wide variation
in power, size, and possibly signature, but I do believe that there are merits
to classifying engines (putting certain restrictions on any "large" engine,
which we define as x litres in volume). Why not set up a calculation and
then categorize ranges of numbers? This would allow us to adjust the curve
from one engine size to another.

Whoa

I didn't mean for this to become a voting thing. I think that is purely
unnecessary, we jsut need to get a little more discussion and then make
choice on the matters of chassis and engines.

So please, don't mail me a bunch of votes. Thanks.
