includes all proposal since the MONICA incident. If I did miss anything
please add it.
MAX Velocity
Engine Power
MV = ------------------- * 3 (the result is in meters per combat turn)
Mass of the Vehicle
there were several variations of this Eq floating around but all had the same
basic form. If fact in my MAX V post the 3 was 3.6. I changed it to
represent a change in units from km/h to m/ct.
Cruising Velocity
Engine Power
CV = ------------------- (meters per combat turn)
Mass of the Vehicle
Again the are several variations of this Eq.
Economy
28000
E(gas) = ------------------- (km/l)
Mass of the Vehicle
42000
E(MultiF) = ---------------------- (km/l)
Mass of the Vehicle
I believe there were one or two Eq. floating around before the little break.
I'm not sure exactly what they were but if I remember correctly they could be
reduced to the form given above.
Engine size
ES= Square root(Power) (in NPU's) or Power = (ES)^2
This Eq was offered be someone before the break. I haven't looked at it in
much detail yet. I don't think I can use physics to develop an Eq for this
(too many variables) so this looks like as good a place as any to start.
Engine Mass
EM = ES (kg)
At least I believe this was proposed
The following is a list of .proposed. Eqs. that I have been working on. They
probably need a little work yet so keep that in mind. (I will be posting more
on these later.)
Acceleration
Power
AC = ----------------- - 1 (in m/s^2)
Mass x Velocity
I don't think we really need this Eq. it was just a starting point to develop
for instantaneous velocity and distance. It really gives no important
information be itself.
Instantaneous Velocity (velocity after accelerating for a given time)
54 * Power * time(combat turns)
IV = square root (---------------------------------) (in meters/combat turn)
Mass of the Vehicle
I've been trying to convert this into a linear Eq. but I'm not having much
luck. Perhaps we could make a table of this Eq. and use that.
Distance Traveled (in a given time)
D = IV x time (in meters)
Time is measured in combat turns. If we can work out IV this should work for
D.
As for where we are on the POA, I don't know. It's not at .teetot. I checked.
But I did find an interesting article on autos there, which may come in handy.
Could some send me a copy of the POA? If anyone has any more ideas on the
above Eqs. let's hear them. And, let's start adopting some of those that we
can agree on.
