Okay here are two Idea's for drones I have had the first is based on the first
drone in the RBB. The second one comes from me and me......based on squids.

Drones and Sleds

Aztecnology GCR-23M Crab
A Tracked Drone based on a chassis the size of a large bread box, The Crab is
designed for under water snooping and exploration, it is usable under water
and above. It is capable of navigating slopes of 45° in climb mode. Fully
electric-powered, it can operate in mobile mode for four hours on a standard
charge, and will plug it's self in at a handy power point at the area of
surveillance. In stationary mode sensor can operate for 24hrs on a full
charge. Standard sensors, active and passive sonar are included with the
package, and enhanced sensor can be added as an upgrade.

Cyberspace Designs Squid
The Squid is the revolutionary new design from Cyberspace, uses complex myomer
muscle bundles, to simulate the flexible bodies of the Squids and octopuses.
It is controlled by a small Chip in it's Main body shell, All movement is
stimulated by Electrical impulses from a Hi Power Battery. The actual squid is
about 1m long and .3m in diameter, However when it needs to it can compress
itself to .15m diameter which all so puts the length up to 4m. The Squid is
covered by similar skin to that of a shark, to sonar and most other forms of
detection it looks like a fish. Upgrades can be obtained from Cyberspace.
>This thing is amazing, It is the latest piece of drone tech (for the tech
heads), gives very little signature, but it relies purely on stealth and
sensors, It has no Offensive/Defensive capabilities.
>Nymph
>I have heard that Cyberspace offer at some ridiculous price to set the skin
up to discharge the battery *ZAP!*, but take note that this thing will only
take the mod.'s made specifically for it, so that means no mount machine guns.
>Bay-Watcher

Okay That is it for the moment I haven't had much time to do much lately.
Comments would be nice, new designs nicer and I am expecting a flame about
the squid :) .

Gurth, What are the other mailing lists you mentioned? and also who are the
other Brits here?

Everyone, Who is actually doing this Ocean thing, cos I Know that Erik J sent
out a load of those wave books out, so where those for your own use or to have
a look to see what you could do for this book?

Those wavebooks were for both purposes. My mailer stripped
out your name; if you wanted one, did you get one?

As for the squid, you need more. Actually, both need stats
and such. But the squid (which may or may not work) need
more detail. What's it's purpose? Who uses it? What are
it's sensors? It's remoted controlled how? And so on.
Controlling drones is more of an issue underwater. Unless
I'm mistaken, I don't think radio waves travel very well
under water, so some other method is needed. Lasers? Some
sonar variant? Fiber-optics? AI?

Erik (yes, that one)

You can subscribe to ShadowRN in the same way you subscribed to NERPS:
send email to listserv@********.itribe.net with the text "subscribe
shadowrn" in the message body. ShadowGM is a different story as it runs
on a different server, send mail to majordomo@******.residence.gatech.edu
with the words "subscribe shadowgm" in the message body.

As for other Brits, there should be several on NERPS, RN, and GM -- when
they post something, you can recognize them by the .uk at the end of
their addresses :)

Problem. The sea floor is covered in silt or nast rock formations that
can't be maneuvered over. Well, there's some areas that are sand, but
those are rare. Tracks are not the maneuver of choice. It's so easy to
make a drone that can "swim" by using simple propellers that I don't see
the need to go with anything else.

So why did they make something that's so stealthy? What are the battle
applications of this baby. I can allready see the potential for loading a
warhead on it and sending it after targets.

what do you have to write? exactly, do you have to put in the bit at the top
or what?

Just because they have .co.uk in their email doesn't mean they are british, I
am british and my email is a .com.

Tracks and hydrojets, happy? you can't use hydrojets or props, on land.

Battle apps? Have you read FOF? can you imagine remotley controling this from
a couple of K's away in safe territory, seeing a target and saying well I
don't like the look of that one, click whoosh BOOM.
But however I have taken your point into account, I am design the CyberSpace
Calamari series, all based of the Myomer structures, with torpedoes, or
exploding fish, drones and one person vehicles.

You put the address (listserv@********.itribe.net) in the To: line. Then type
"subscribe shadowrn" on the first line of the actual message.
For ShadowGM, send your mail to majordomo@******.residence.gatech.edu, and
type "subscribe shadowgm" on the first line.

No, you're getting it the other way around -- *every* address ending in
.uk is in the United Kingdom, just as every .nl is in the Netherlands, or
.de is Germany (Deutschland). You are one of the suckers :) who fell for
the Microsoft Network (MSN), which has a .com domain (for COMmercial).

Don't be stupid, Beavis. There's always been TV; there's just more
channels now.
