The range of active sonar will depend on how loud you want
to "ping" something. That's the primary modifier
determining range. Use more power, a louder "ping," it'll
go farther. And the converse is true also.

This also means personal sonar won't have the range that a
large nuclear ICBM submarine will have. Bigger batteries
and power sources and all.

Don't forget that any external, exposed cyberware is going
to need a marine rebuild. Problems with aqautic
balance/buoyancy (that arm is suddenly going to feel a lot
heavier) and of course the problem of salt water getting
into the inside of the arm, mucking things up. Gonna need
some kind of marine rebuild involving ballast bladders and
sealant...
