I have been following the discussion on psi on more or less regular
basis, and I have had a few thoughts.

First of all (I know this sounds muncki(something-or-other)) why
ever make cyberware affect psi-powers?? It is all in your mind, I know
it is because you want to limit psi and cyberware concatenations, but
I seriously don't see why it should affect psis at all.

Second I would suggest (I know I'll be flamed for this) check the TSR
Complete Psionics Handbook for AD&D, there are alot of nice psi powers
in it which will be easily adaptable for SR Spi.

Third ... I can't remember, I'll get back to it when I remember it :)

Real reason: Game Balance{tm}
Pseudo Reason: Cyber is not natural and thus can impact on your both.
In addition, it alters the way you think, thus lowering your psi
rating.

The main reason, honestly, is game balance. See, nobody (even in
2055) is really sure just _where_ the Psionic powers come from, only that
the energies seem to come from the person themselves (i.e., not from any
outside source which can be measured in any way.) It may require the
whole body, it may just require the brain -- nobody knows for sure.
But in the game, if it were to just affect the brain and
cyberware would have no effect on anything, you'd get Psis with boosted
and enhanced everything (the best of what makes a Sammie powerful) _and_
a lot of mental powers...and the game would immediately become
unbalanced.

If anything, use T$R's materials for no more than inspiration. I
am the editor, and will be one of the main distributors of the electronic
version, and do not wish to be sued because one of y'all was too lazy to
think up new words to describe a power.
Sorry if I sound too harsh about this, but we all know who is
really at fault.
