into a final document, and here is some thoughts. Please comment on this.
There are three basic parts to the entire writeup, each with a different
level of required dedication.
1) Rules (most dedication)
This is basically the core of the whole thing. There will be
several sub-parts of the rules. The only way I can think to do this is to
to make an outline of the different parts of the rules, using the
Grimthingy or SRII as a template, and then divvy out different parts to
different people. This is good because it decentralizes the writing, thus
in theory speeding up the process, but it is bad because, and this list
has demonstrated this time and time again, getting people to actually
submit what they promise is quite a bit more difficult than getting Rush
to agree with Clinton. Essentially, if this is the route we choose, there
will be very defined deadlines of when your portion is due, and there will
be no excuses unless you can produce a death cirtificate (your own!). If
you fail your deadline, you will be heavily flamed and giggled at on the
list, and basically not trusted any more. So don't take a section unless
you are willing to write it. In addition, the submission times will be
short, only a week or two, to keep things moving.
2) Meta-Abilities (less dedication)
Because meta-abilites interrelate with other abilites, it is
important that the author be careful with regards to the writeup.
Meta-abilites will be part of the outline and will be pre-registered.
3) Standard Abilities (least dedication)
There really won't be much work needed for these. Have an idea,
use the Grimthingy construction rules for drain, plonk it into the right
dicipline, and send it in. Obviously, each submission will require
review, but there is no preregistration required. (at this time, though,
don't start sending stuff in, cuz I haven't set up the software for this
