Ok, it is no March 13th.

The plan was (orignally) to end the current project(s) on or around April
1st.

Currently, here are some numbers for the submissions:
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 93377 Feb 28 17:59 characters
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 45039 Feb 28 18:10 plots
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 31289 Feb 28 18:15 sprawls

As you can see, we have a great variety of characters, nearly 100k of
them. But we are seriously lacking in plots, and even moreso in sprawls.

--------

Thus, I am forced to conclude one or more the following
A) People are out of ideas (I don't buy that)
B) People are busy (I understand that, but still there should be
something)
C) People feel constrained somehow
D) I am an ineffectual leader who will soon be assinated

-------

So what's the deal everyone? Where do we stand? In two weeks we are
going to end and move on to new projects. We started with some great
stuff, but have petered out lately. I didn't post because I didn't want
to be nagging, but this is getting rediculous.

In the next two weeks, if we can, I'd like to double out current ammounts
of stuff. that will be 200k of characters, 90k to 100k of plots and 60k
of sprawls.

Here are some springboard ideas

CHARACTER:
Dragons, Sasquaches, Political figures (from all spectrums),
other non-humanoid things, AIs (not necessarily evil bitches like
MONICA)

Plots:
Magic Quests, Somethign about college campuses, political
intrigue, something in space, somehting about hollywood, drugs,
upstart VP discovers company he works for are evil assholes and
plans to fix it (the Firm?).

Sprawls:
Virtual sites, fixer shops, druglabs, gangsta bars.

---------------

Go too it, my minions. And if I'm doing something wrong, please let me
know, because this is not only a project I want to be successful, but I
also have some grades depending on its success.

Anf if my restrictions are too narrow, let me know and I'll see if they
fit or if are better in later ideas.

Just the opposite, though I am beginning to feel like I am
"hogging" the Characters Aspect of this project.

:: B) People are busy (I understand that, but still there should be
:: something)

Bingo! I have comprehensive exams until March 21st and have thought
about little else.

:: D) I am an ineffectual leader who will soon be assinated

We would never let you off that easy Rob...

Like I said above, I am out of commission until after March 21st.
If you extend the time of submissions, I can add more, but not
until then.

How about an insect totem plot? I'm working on an adventure (which should
run next week) in which an Ant shaman buys out a failing electronics company,
causing it to rise to prominence. The plan is to implant headware stuff
along with ant spirits, so the customers wind up becoming flesh form workers
and soldiers. The place has almost no expenses, since the ant spirits work
for free. The problem is that a decker-type contact of the characters picks
up a new math 5 SPU or something like that, gets whanging headaches and
bizarre dreams, and asks the players to check it out. Then, while they're
doing so, he transforms into a soldier flesh form and attacks them (on the
way back from checking out the company). That's about it; I'll submit the
whole thing if you think it'll work.

Doesn't a transformation to flesh form spirit need a lot more time and attention
from the nest than that? I suspect it does, if not the SR world would be overrun
with insect spirits.
