Alright, after reading over everyone's inputs on the next project, how
does this sound:

NERPS: Atlas
A collection of different cities from around the world.
Writeups would probably be on par with the Pueblo
article from NAGEE:4. To do this, people would register
saying that they are going to do a certain town, and
will then be expected to do that.

Writeups should include descriptions of the various
suburbs, major industries, gangs (and where they can be
found), colleges, major corporate holdings, etc.

NOTE: The colleges will be folded into this and any town
with a major university (or more than one) shoudl have
them listed as well as some details of the college.

NERPS: Power Players
This replaces the corp idea. Instead, this will include
not only corporations, but also other powerful groups.
Including, but not limited to, religious organizations
(catholic political structure, jewish political structure),
terrorist organizations (IRC, PLO, BATF^H^H^H^H), political
groups (Greenpeace, NAACP, NGLTF)

The above are current day examples, obviously, but give
you an idea what I mean.

For corps, they MUST be non-FASA. I'll write up
something on Yoshida Tech and maybe Dragon's Den (both from
ShadowTalk).

For organizations, they should be things that aren't the
established government and should be a group that gets its
name in the paper regularily. The above, as I said, were
just 1994 examples. 2055 will have new groups and causes.

Is this dandy with everyone?

Just as a thought, I usually type up my Shadowrun adventures (people at work
get a bit suspious if I start scribbbling on bits of paper). I know a
couple of others do that sort of thing too. How about when the next Nerps
project is under way having an adventure directory ? I know this idea has been
buzzed about before, but if the adventures where sent to Rob ( or his lovely
assistant Doom ;-))rather than the list, wouldn't that cause less problems ?
Back to typing in Thursday's Shadow-distaster :-)

Not a bad idea, though it could end up being gigantic and cause
many arguments over style and content.
If anybody writes up a module-quality adventure, I'd love to see
it on Teetot and other sites, or perhaps as a special NERPS supplement.
But, I can't see there being enough people with enough good ideas to make
it a complete NERPS category.

This all sounds great to me, just a few comments, nothing
seriously damaging to your current plan...

How will you deal with people both wanting to do the same town,
but (and I hope this won't happen) not wanting to work together?

Sounds good, though IMHO we need a different name. Unfortunately,
I can't think of one right now. *sheepish grin*

Yes, quite.

Module sized adventures should be produced individually off of this list
for one reason. To try to organize something THAT big in a committee
atmostphere will never work. Witness kage-car.

NERPS, the list, works because while there is a central "committee",
artistic freedom is still held by each contributor and all the
contributions flow together into one larger work.

Thus, I guess, I'd recommend that if you have a large adventure, you work
on it seperate from NERPS (you also might want to talk with FASA about
contracting it, I'm sure they need modules).

Well, if two people want to do the same town, I'd recommend that they
deal with it. Either they work together or flip a coin or whathaveyou.

Read any Nietzsche recently?
The Ue is actually a U with an umlaut (two dots over the letter).

(Right there you have the sum total of my knowledge of Neitzsche,
though I assume he's a German philosopher.)

I had some Nietzsche once, but the doctor gave me a shot of pennicillian
and it cleared right up.

In any case, I THINK we can come with something both a little more
original AND understandable.
