Ok, we are at the point where we need to talk about what we are going to
do nor the next project(s).

I don't think we have enough new rules for another ShadowLore-type tome.
So here are some thoughts:

NERPS: Atlas
A collection of different cities from around the world.
Writeups would probably be on par with the Pueblo
article from NAGEE:4. To do this, people would register
saying that they are going to do a certain town, and
will then be expected to do that. I know I'd like to
do Duluth, and maybe Minneapolis/St. Paul and Mankato.

NERPS: Corporate Underworld
Oodles of corporations. From the mom and pop shop to
the international megacorp. We'll have to work out
some statistical ideas on how to rate size and stuff, but
it would brighten up some worlds.

NERPS: Campus
Similiar to the Atlas, but this is a list of various
colleges around the world. List out what areas of
study they specialize in and maybe list some costs and
stuff. These will be at least somewhat in depth, not as
much as the cities, but at least more than just numbers
(hell, you can probably take descriptions out of course
catalogs). Once again, though, I will be forming a
registration list so that people will feel guilty if they
don't send in what they promise :-)

Anyone else have any ideas? Discussion please.

I like the Atlas and Corporate Underworld ideas for the next NERPS,
but I'm not sure if the Campus idea would be either interesting or
substantial enough, I'd be kind of neat to see though. OK, it might
work, but it would be the least posted subject I think.

As to how to rate the Corps, well Corporate Shadowfiles has an
effective way of rating the various assets of a corporation. For
those who don't have it, it could be included in the FAQ that's sent
out every month or so.

RE: ShadowFile

I haven't been able to find this book yet in this shitty town, but I'm
sure there is some good stuff on corps in there.

I'd like to work out categories for:
Size:
Assets:
Political:
Security:
Type: (lethal, non-lethal, etc)
Size:
Effectiveness:
Range:
Local or International?

Etc

This is the one I want to do! Several of my friends and I have come
up with a substantial compilation of what Northwest Arkansas has developed
into. We're talking about 30+ pages of scrawling and hand drawn maps.

> NERPS: Corporate Underworld

Hmm has possiblitites. We might be hard pressed to come up with enough
entries here for a sizable publication.

> NERPS: Campus
Hmm seems to me that this might be best included as a sub part of Atlas.
At least that is what we did for our little writeup.

How 'bout Underworld + Terrorist organizations of the world, or maybe
even a Intelligence Services section (CIA,Mossad, MI-5, etc...).

Dave "Khanx"

Robert I still have some great sprawl stuff . . .

Though this won't be a "submit whatever you think of whenever you
think of it" type of thing like the current NERPS projects, I think it'd
be an extremely useful project...the DLoH should be sent a copy! =^>

Both also look great, though (again) it'll be less active and
varied than the current projects...though, actually, I can see Corporate
being pretty big.

Not a bad idea...probably Eric Trager <etrager@***.gwu.edu> and I
will collaborate on Montgomery County, Maryland (just outside D.C.) if
we have time for it (whaddya think, Trager?). And I for one have a number
of loose ideas already for Corps of various sizes.

> Anyone else have any ideas? Discussion please.
Following the theme of Organizations listed in the latter two, how
about some of the more estalished gangs? Not groups as big as the Mafia
or the Yakuza, but big enough to control, say, the BTL trade in the south
side of Chicago. Specific personalities don't really have to be listed,
as that's likely to be pretty fluid except for the top few people.

I like this idea as well...its more viable than my mid-sized Gangs
idea. It could also tie in to the other sections by listing Corp or local
government intellegence organizations.

Certainly like this one, dump the campus idea though. You can mark me down
for the Tyne Sprawl, should be a worthy if big project. I could probably be
stretched to do Edingburgh as well, makes a good excuse for a few drinking
forrays across the border :), as for Glasgow, well a friend of mine lives
their now, I'll have a word and see if he has any ideas.

Corps ? Yeah, but don't bother with the big 8 as they've been done indepth
in corp shadowfiles. Some of the smaller corps and mid level ones would be
worth doing. Ever want the low down on NatVat ?

Ah, yes, if we do corps I think it would be an idea to stay off the published
ones unless the info on them can be easily dismissed. NatVat I just realised
has had quite a bit written on it.

This is my first post to the list, and I haven't been playing SR for that
long, but I like the Atlas idea... I like the idea of my PC's to travel
instead of being stuck in one place.

I would like to work on the the Saskatchewan Canada area... I wouldn't
call this a city, more like an area to work on...

My thoughts on this are that since its now part of the Ameri-Indian's
area.. I could give more detail to different areas with an emphasis on the
tribal culture... since we have Wanuskewin (an native world heritage site
with a huge "medicine wheel" ... really :-) :-) I am sure I could come up
with alot of neat stuff about the area... (maybe even include a few things
about Louis Riel and his rebellion, etc., some corp stuff with the things
like Uranium and diamond mining in the north... hmmm.. .the mind
wanders... :-) I haven't read the American Nations Volumes yet, but those
are going to be my next purchases, so, put me down for this... I guess I
wonder if this is a valid type of thing we want in the Atlas though? I was
just wonder what people thought...

Later...
