Greetings All!

I read from one of the archived files that you guys are always looking
for fresh ideas so after sitting watching for a while I decided to put some
idea's forward.

But I guess I had better explain my situation so you dont take for
being a complete idiot. I am a software engineer working for Siemens
Transportation Systems Limited and they dont approve of non buisness mail
during buisness hours so mail from me is normally outside of the 9am to
12:45 and 1:30 to 5:00 mon - fri GMT.
I have been role-playing for ages since my early teens and have covered
Travellar, Cuthulu ADND etc etc. Having read a lot of the Shadowrun stories
have been dying to give it a go and recenty my ADND group have decided a
change is needed. I am picking up the 2nd Edition book on the weekend so
forgive me if I cover anything that is already published, etc.

Here are the idea's in brief

New Settings - Part of the Change see's the revival of Atlantis and its
treasures and inhabitants. A chance for new races and
equipment weapons. Possibile source for Bio-Weapons.

In similar viens Egyptian Pyramids, Pharoh beings and
technology's
ala Stargate.

And Arctic/Tundra type settings Moscow, Northern
America.

Would like to see more on the Ork Underground and Elven
Nations.

New Races - A definative guide to Vampire's, Were beasts etc.

New Source Material - A set of digitised maps in bmp or Gif format of
cities,
buildings maybe even bitmaps. If actual streetmaps
were scanned in and altered or left alone you could
provide people with tactical maps etc etc. We did a similar
thing with DND and ordance survey maps.

A rigger's handbook. What makes for good tools and
materials etc.

The Clubbers Guide to Seattle - A guide of the bars and
clubs describing Clientel and Merchandise or alternativley
a book for troll's on mugging.

New Scenario's - Taking a team into a corporate/military colonised Island
where
they have to extract a Mr Johnson from maximum
security.

A group of Astronauts who faced the Awakening inside a
space station or shuttle return to earth and need
finding or containing due to there Goblinization.

An AI has built itself or taken over a cyborg body and is
wandering
the streets free-lance runnning and has joined your team as NPC
the team believing it as another runner then in the next game
your
team has to take out a rogue AI for a Mr Johnson.

Anyhow hope I havent offended anyone. If people wish to discuss these
idea's or use them I am more than happy.
This probably isnt the place to ask but here goes.

What other Official Source Material should I get?
Is there a Shadowrun Mud?
What are PLOT-D and SHADOWTK I havent found descriptions
of them? Though I subscribe to PLOT-D am still uncertain of what it
is.

Thanks for the time peep's.

Nath.

These might work well for future projects; see my comments below.

[similar ideas deleted for space]

Could work well as a seperate sourcebook, but we usually try not
to change the Shadowrun setting /too/ much in the NERPS books. *grin*

Ork Underground sounds good, but the two Tir books seem to
explain the Elves pretty well.

That'd fit very well into the current NERPS project.

Tried that a while ago, but there didn't seem to be enough interest.

Could be interesting...our next NERPS project might be a Special
Equipment book, with areas for Riggers and Deckers in specific.

Sprawl Sites. Hardly anybody uses it, but it exists.

> New Scenario's

Always space for those on the 'net, though the NERPS books so far
have never included full-blown adventures -- just plot summaries in NERPS:
Foundations, and plot hooks scattered throughout all the books.

Almost all of that is answered in the ShadowRN FAQ. The rest
should be asked on the ShadowRN mailing list, not here on NERPS (for more
info, see the NERPS FAQ.)

To wierd man! I could help you on that one. I'm running a campaign almost
exactly along those lines. It has to do with egyptian civilizations and
mythology. It has new races and stuff. With help I and everyone who wants to
help could adapt my data into sort of a data and if you want an alternate SR
world. I would need help because I need the 2nd edition rule book and
grimore to finish it. anyone who interested mail me at collin@******.net

I'm all in favor of Ork Underground stuff, I think that if FASA will
continue to ignore it, maybe we should do something on it. Preferably _with_
maps, as I love to have floor plans of something...

Erm, don't you mean Seattle Sourcebook, JD? Sprawl Sites gives generic maps
of such places, but I think he means describing specific bars and clubs...
