I think what you're saying is, forget the Cyberpsionics
discipline and just allow use of the Matrix for something like "aura
recognition" in order to target remote-influence powers from _other_
disciplines.
This sounds good -- we can make it an optional rule with a number
of corrolaries regarding target number modifiers and such. That way, the
"no psionics in the matrix!" crowd will be satisfied, and those of us who
want to experiment with it will also be happy.
