This isn't exactly done, but I need to get some stuff off my 'To-do' pile,
because it's still stacked up to my chin :P
This is based off current tech, I just added the colour and lowered the
power requirements, to reflect the 60-odd years of innovation. If anyone
could clue me into the actual real life price of it today, it would be much
appreciated, as I have NO idea of this, so I just fudged some numbers
together.

Some shadow-comments would be appreaciated, but I don't think this needs to
run longer than a page, so nothing too major, thanks :)

(>) Hey folks, someone snagged this off of some Ares public datastore and
sent it my way. Looks like it may be of some interest to you guys and
gals, so here it is.
(>) NuDawn

The Ares Light Rope 2100 is a huge improvement over a great product of the
late 20th century. Flexible like a garden hose, but filled with
near-unbreakable high-concentration lights, the ALR 2100 is the most
versatile and reliable of similar equipment on the market today!

Originally used as firefighting equipment, this style of lights has many
other practical applications in the corporate world. Short strips can be
used to mark locations at night, or during foggy days. With the new
optional Colourstrip, the lights can vary between Red Green and Blue, and
with the Enhanced Colourstrip, any colour on the RGB scale! Helicopter
landing lights, traffic direction arrows, these ropes can do almost=
anything!

Guarenteed for 5000 hours of operation, ALR 2100 is resistant to water,
acid, fire, and will no snap under pressure! (Wish we could make all our
corp-execs like that, ha ha :-) ) In the unlikely event that one of the
bulbs breaks, the rest of them keep on ticking!

ALR 2100 can run using a dual plug system; taking up both plugs on a
standard outlet, one industrial sized outlet, or via an Ares Batter Pack
(12 hours of operation). The standard light can be seen from up to 5 miles
away, and the Colourstrip and Enhanced Colourstrip from 3 miles away, under
optimal conditions.

Ares Light Rope 2100 is shipped in 10, 50, 100, and 500 metre strips. We
gauarantee two today delivery to anywhere in the CAS, UCAS, and most of
North America!

Cool idea.

I'd leave this out, or clarify it. How far away a length of ALR
could be seen would depend on the length and how it's placed. Maybe
say that a 10m length can be seen from 5km (note the switch from
miles to kilometers :) under ideal conditions.

How about selling it per 10m (with a minimum available length of
10m)? That's how they sell cable, rope, pipe, etc. in RL. Makes it
a lot easier and the text takes up less space :)

And more colors! White, red, blue, green, yellow, ultraviolet, and
infrared! (Other colors available on special order (more money).)
