While there was some reorganization involved with the UB, we officially deny
any financial improprieties. Anything else you may have heard about the
organization is purely fictional and should be treated as such. These
attempts to destroy the integrity of this organization will not go
unpunished like they did with Sen. Schwartzenegger's presidential campaign.

Any interest in a UB sourcebook?

FASA has already made one many years ago. For first addition I think.
What would the differnce be between them?

There is one in the product 'the Universal Brotherhood' listed as
file 'X3XL5'. As of at least the Atzlan sourcebook it is still not a
widely know file. For those wondering about 'that Gordons Tavern
Explosion' the answers in the UB file.

And i couldn't give a frag about the UB's finances or intergerty
people don't deserve to be made into Bugs!

So far there have been three major products written focusing on the
Universal Brotherhood, The Universal Brotherhood module, Burning Bright, a
novel by Tom Dowd, and Bug City (which I haven't read). While I understand
that it is possible to take a good idea too far, the two items I've read
both seem to point out that the government has a very different idea (from
megacorps) regarding the dangers that magical threats really pose. In
addition, it seems likely that after what has happened, that the UB is going
to have to change strategy. Remember that there were (as of 2051) 100
chapters of the UB outside of North America. While the megacorps that know
about the UB are going to after them, not everyone will. Maybe a section of
the UB worldwide is more appropriate within the worldbook project.

Note Adventures spoiler - as if it matters here!

Ok you missed one, the module Double exposure also has UB in it. When
products say 'and when the charity in question is owned by the
Universal Brotherhood bad gets a whole lot worse' on the back cover
they seriously mean it :)

Ah thats because in 'The Universal Brotherhood' only the azzies know
the truth by Burning Bright the government knows but does not want
worldwide panic and the corps are in to do some quiet extermination
(bug spirits don't buy things - bad for business). The link being the
Adventure DE in which other things happen.

On DE any sign that FASA ar doing more with the blackmail the UCAS
now has on Renraku ?

A UB book?

One question: Why?

With Bug City, they've been reduced to a small crackpot cult. They have
nowhere near the power or influence they once did.

If we want to do a net.book on cults or something, I would advise until
waiting for "Threats" to come out (sometime in May). That way, we can see
what FASA has in mind. Maybe the UB is still there, maybe not. We can base
our own cults around what they have all ready done, and then do our own
thing.

But then again, it's up to the list.

Erik
