Isn't this just the "Stationary Pintle Mount" from RBB?

Quick look at the vehicle combat section: (driver's skill + Vehicle's Body +
1/2 Armor - Handling) with a TN of (Other veh. Body + 1/2 Armor - Modifier)
Who has less successes makes a crash test. Ties result in no crash test.

Well, the Ram Bumper could either lower the TN, offer more dice or even give
"Automatic Successes" (Welcome back in SRI :-).

Hm... you mean I gotta bribe the GM before I let the Sammy play with my car?

reconcile SR and SRII rules. No new ones got the power but the old ones got
to keep it.)

And give them some magic back if you take away the auto-successes!
The magic cost for improved abilities is a lot cheaper in 2ndEd.
