Nightstalker, I take that word very seriously. I am a NeoPagan Druid IRL,
and that word is a heinous insult. In my religious tradition, being
"warlocked" is equivalent to being excommunicated or disfellowshipped.
I realize that we are discussing a rolegaming world. However, some connection
with reality must be maintained. You would not have a mage introduce himself
as a "heretic" or a "blasphemer" -- or perhaps =you= would. In my
game world,
there are links maintained to reality, and I and my players avoid insulting
RL religions. The proper name for a male magician is magician, and if they are
following a NeoPagan tradition, the proper term is witch, regardless of gender.
I suggest you do a bit more research.

I'm sorry if it is and insult to people of your religious background, but to
most of us "warlock" is just another term for a mage. The true meaning of the
word might be used in the Sixth World, but then again the new meaning might be
the one used. Words evolve. Many words that people would call each other today
are things that would start fights in years past. Other words that people would
have liked to have been called yesterday will get you socked today. Lighten up
and go with the convention.

Also, while some connection to reality is nice in a role playing game, this one
smacks of Political Correctness. I HATE POLITICAL CORRECTNESS!!!!!!!!
