Hello, first time writing 2 NERPS as Jagdpanther (my real SRII-alter ego)

1st

it.s nice and cool 2 talk about the world 2057 in general, but isn't it
more interesting and practical 2 develope problems like that really
interesting one "pirate radio/tv/trid" ? I asume, lot of better GM haven't
enough time 2 discus on conventions handling and game-developing problems
or simply develope settings 4 a colourful game world. general definition of
countries is interesting but may collide with own point of game-view,
played since 1990. so i suggest 2 focus on details and single facettes of
the world in 2057.

2nd

the old problem: ecessive weapon-(ab)use in SRII.
in sourcebooks u find legallity codes and security levels, u can construct
nice swat's 2 handle weapon-hard-core-otakus, but is it the goal of good
gamemastering, 2 shoot the runner down and recycle them in an organ bank ?
how do (especial us-GM) handle prisons and the jurisdication 4 often
sinless edge-runner (ever seen Luc Bresons "Nikita"?). My ethical feeling
don't allow 2 kill simply the often really realistic characters. btw: it
should be a really interesting campaign hook 2 get out of prison without
heavy techspec.

3rd

i realized, that here techspec is rarely dicussed. so, is there any
mailinglist like this, where rules and tech is dicussed and data is shared ?
(i know the sites of plasticwarriors, gurth and blackhand, off course. but
on other sites is lot of braindead trash !)

JAG(dpanther)
aka noisy aka AMD Knecht aka !SAM

btw: be generous with my written english (i practise really often, but
write rareley)

Well, if you can remember how you subsribed to this list, substitute
'subsribe ShadowRN' in the body of the message.... The ShadowRN list is
more oriented towards general discussion and debate of the rules.

Just be prepared for an average of 80-100 messages per day.

Hi and welcome. (Oh, and do you mind if I call you Sd.Kfz. 173? :)

The reason we're talking about the world in 2057 is because the current
NERPS project is a write-up of some of the places FASA hasn't covered.
These may be whole countries, or individual cities in countries for which
a sourcebook already exists. We're striving for as little contradiction
with FASA sources as possible, BTW.

This question would be better asked on the ShadowRN list, that runs on the
same server as NERPS. You can subscribe to it in the same way you subbed
to NERPS, but replace "NERPS" by "ShadowRN".

As mentioned above, ShadowRN is probably what you're looking for.

I'll take that as a compliment :)

One thing I'd like to bring to your attention is spelling... 2 and 4 and
all that may be cool in IRC etc., but IMO it's really hard to read on a
mailing list...
