I'm quite confused with some details about the Amazonian territory.

1 - Does exist any kind of map of Amazonia or South America in 2050's ?
2 - The Amazonian territory withstands:
a ) Only the Brazilian state called Amazonia
b ) Only the Brazilian part of the forest. (In the main book, i only
find reference to the brazilian army)
c ) All the Amazonia forest. (Including Peru, Colombia, Venezuela and
Guianas)
3 - Does others sourcebooks contain info about any kind of Awakened
creature or being belonging to Amazonia ?
4 - Does other sourcebook contain info about any city or renamed city in
the Amazonian territory ?

Well ,
that's all for a while

tks

We all are ;)

There is one of Central America, in the Aztlan sourcebook. It shows almost
nothing of South America, though, except for a small bit of what used to
be Colombia. There is also a map of, approximately, the northern half of
South America in the Harlequin adventure, but it only shows a few rivers,
three cities, and the "Limits of Basin," which I assume is the edge of the
forest.

Most of the Amazone forest, AFAIK, with the follwoing exceptions. From
Harlequin, it seems Peru is a separate country -- the PCs can catch a
flight to "Lima, Peru" at the end of the adventure, as opposed to "Lima,
Amazonia."
In the Aztlan sourcebook, it says on page 106 that Colombia has been
partially occupied by Amazonia (Bogota is in Amazonia, for example), and
partially by Aztlan (they also claim Bogota as part of their country).
Venezuela is officially an independent country, but it only exists because
Amazonia allows it to.

Oh, and you forgot Surinam :)

> 3 - Does others sourcebooks contain info about any kind of Awakened
> creature or being belonging to Amazonia ?

To quot Harlequin, page 101: "Various forms of paranatural lizards and
snakes are abundant, most with Awakening-induced cosmetic changes, but
some with real power and abilities. Birds of all types abound, most of
them with minor, insignificant changes. Don't forget the insects. They're
everywhere.
"Don't forget plants, either. The Awakening didn't."

Then it recommends some things, but no specifics are given (it boils down
to "use Paranormal Animals of North America and your imagination").

> 4 - Does other sourcebook contain info about any city or renamed city in
> the Amazonian territory ?

Not all that many, really. The ones I can think of are mentioned above.

How about using RIFTS: South America as a guide? Or go to your local library or
bookstore and pick up an atlas? Then draw the new borders yourself. I, for
one, would leave out Argentina.

I am using an Atlas, and i've already drawed my own borders, but i don't
want to publish something that contradict the rules or the info on
sourcebooks.

And i don't have RIFTS sourcebook...

My poor books: (Most of them aren't mine, but borrowed.)

Shadowrun Sourcebook
Street Sam's Catalog
Fields of Fire
Shadowtech
Grimoire 2nd Edition
Metagen (an adventure [ it sucks] )
Rigger Black Book 1st Edition

AS you see, i don't have VR, so i'm Matrix dumb. I don't have Paranormal
Animals.
No Lone star, no aztlan, no shadowfiles etc etc etc

Life is hard when you live in South america. It's hard even to
globalization to reach it...

I don't even know exactly what's a bug.... (just kidding, i've read tons of
articles about them)

Well,
thanks BTW

I wouldn't use Rifts even if you do have it. All the contitnents in rifts
are screwed up cause of the reappearence of Atlantis. All of the coastlines
are screwed and the amazon river has turned into one huge delta. (Hence the
new name for south america, the land of a thousand islands). I also don't
think must of it would even translate, though the biomancy spells might
work for the amazonians new nature spells. So forget it for maps, but if
you do find a copy of Rifts: South America the spells might be worth it.
FYI there is also a Rifts:S.A. 2 book. Deals a lot with the Nazca which may
or may not help.

OH my !
Does any good soul who owns a scanner coul scan this ?
If i could buy the book, i would buy it, but i just can't !!
This northern S.A. map is almost everything i need.

Sorry, but i didn't quite got what do you mean ...
Who the hell owns Bogota ?
I don't see too much sense in Amazonian politics wanting Bogota. It's
heavily polluted !

<snip my question 'bout Awakened critters>

And another question:

Have you guys ever heard something 'bout Manaus city in those sourcebooks?
Manaus is by far the most important city of the Amazonian territory, but it
also does have the higher industrialisation and pollution rates of the
forest. I'm brainstormin' some ideas to this place, but again i don't want
to override FASA's word.

I've got the books and a scanner sitting right here by my computer.

[snip Colombia/Bogota stuff]

Amazonia, but Aztlan claims it's part of Aztlan.

Maybe they want it so they can clean it up? After all, that's what the
Amazonian government seems obsessed with for the rainforest...

Manaus is mentioned in Harlequin. Unless the map's wrong (you never know),
it's something like 1000 km in-land, at a place where two big rivers meet.
The only info about Manaus, though, is this: "Manaus is a city with a
population of slightly less than five million people." Nothing more.
