This is just a small warning that the "shadow babble" should really be
more focused. An entire nerps book filled with it is going to make for
really dull reading.

Don't worry, I plan to edit the talk portion heavily. Thanks for
the "small warning", though...even I tend to get carried away. *grin*

FASA did it with Bug City, so why can't we? :)

BTW, are we going to do stats for the dragons we mention, or only give them
names and short histories?

No reason why not, the so called babble in a lot of the FASA books
makes for interesting reading, see for instance the 'open forum' in
the Tir Taingire. Don't know what everyone else is going to think
though.

I won't complain as long as you take care not to mix up character and
game information. I have been trying to avoid actually putting
statistics for a sensibly organised Great dragon down on paper as i
think the results could be somewhat scary by the time the romp
through the Grimorie has come to en end. Lesser dragons are more
reasonable after all if you need stats for a great dragon i think you
must have a merc group not shadowrunners on your hands and it might
be an idea to miss on Dunk and similar FASA popular dragons

for those that don't know there are stats for a great dragon in prime
runners though no 'locked' magic is listed and the spell list and
skills are basically guides along the lines of the numbers are
arround 'x', where x is something silly. Perinwry has both first and
2nd edition stats given in adventures and there are some more though
i haven't actually seen the stats.

Runners guesses and battle reports might be more useful, just note
game rules, i get very fed up with FASA when i read of bullets
bouncing off critters all ways in the shadow talk and then compare
how the game stats would stand up against your average FASA archtype
with ares predator, Bang Bang - no critter.

Yeah, but in Bug City it was all >>CENTERED<< so it was very hard
to read without concentrating on it. Bleech.

If somebody writes 'em up and nobody flames them too hard, I'll
include them. Not sure if we really need to, though -- it is /not/ often
that 'runners will need to fight a Dragon, and if they do then their GM
may need to switch back to AD&D.

I personally would stay away from giving stats to any of FASA's dragons.

Having people compile a lot of info on the dragons from FASA books would be
interesting - and also some new stuff that would fit in well. But as for stats
- I tend to think that they take away the half the fun of having the Dragon, I
am debating wether I am going to give complete stats on Seraphy when I post him,
or just some things that seem very descriptive and let GM's go from there.

I sort of go along the lines of - its a dragon - you would need a MBT to take on
out.

Hasselich - By the SR II rules - he can't be dead - A minigun would just bounce
bullets off him. HE probably decided that not being noticed would be a good
idea. He's probably just staying in Human form.

So maybe you should 'post' something like that -- maybe like a doctor, or
just somebody who knows a lot about the paranormal, eh? :)
