First, the other stuff.

I've started putting the Underworld articles I have so far into one
document. At the moment, it's about 40 pages but that will shrink a bit
because I haven't removed any unnecessary CRs yet. I estimate it will be
about 2/3rds that, or about 25 to 30 pages after I've done that. Also my
fixer and PC cops articles will be added, which should add quite a bit to
the book (especially the fixer thing). Still, that is too short for my
taste. I can of course use large fonts, put in a layout that takes up
(wastes?) a lot of space, and all the other tricks I can think of, but I'd
like to see more articles. Come on people, NERPS books are something YOU
make! If you have an idea but don't know how to work it out, post it on
the list -- you're bound to find someone who can help you out.

And a reminder of what we've got already:

The Arms Bazaar, by Paul J. Adam
Plastic Guns, by David Hinkley
Better Living Through Biochemistry, by Erik Jameson
The Organizatsiya (the Russian Mafia), by Bob Ooton
Basement Transactions, by Bryan Linn Schuler (AKA Frobozz)
Item Encounters, PC Cops, and PC Fixers, by yours truly

That's 8 articles so far, plus the one I'm sending to the list in another
message (the real estate costs from Stephen Bugge).

Now, the (c) notice that will appear in the front of the Underworld book.
A little bit above it on the page will be a list of names of the
contributers/authors, together with their email addresses, and each
article has the author's name clearly displayed at the beginning.

Let me know if this arrangement isn't acceptable to someone, OK?

I like it :) It has that special attitude that makes it..well,
special. And Yes, I am writing something for the book. As a matter of
fact, its soooo close to being done its not funny. Then its just a matter
of typing it out and hoping it doesn't suck.

I am working on three other possible submissions, one on illeagal
electronic equipment, "legiondary" contacts, vehicle equipment, and several
detailed personalites. Hmmmm I guess I am working on 4 :) [It gets had to tell
as I am also working on 3 large projects a weapons catalog (with corprate
background), Seattle Yellow pages and a detailed nieghborhood setting for
Capital Hill Seattle]. The question is how much time do I have and if it is
limited which ones should I try to finish first?
As to the copyright notice, I submitted my comments in another posting.

This looks good it meets almost all the requirements save two. If any
one submits work that was copyrighted in a year other then 1996, either by
submitting something the own that they wrote or copyrighted prior to 1996 or if
the project should not be completed, and published before 11:59 PM, December 31,
1996 [all this means is that we now have a project deadline, Hooray Hooray :)].
The other problem has to do with the requirement that "it must be left
completely intact and unmodified. Yes, completely". This seems to prohibit
changing the paper format from a sensible 8 1/2 by 11 :) to that totally weird
A4 standard :). Of course we could publish it in both formats, thus pleasing
both sides of the pond.
Yes, I am picking nits...but unfortunately copyrights are within the
domain of the lawyer...and they have raised nit picking to a high art form :).

That's easy enough to change: "1995/1996" should do the trick. And it
WILL be finished before 1997 begin (and even then, your deadline isn't
100% correct -- to me, it's 1997 about 5 to 9 hours before where you
are... 23:59 GMT, 31 Dec 1996 would be the best bet, IMHO :)

You mean the other way around: I make the thing in A4, so it will ahve to
be changed to Letter size. But to put your mind at ease, I will reformat
it to conform to that silly American paper size :) as soon as it's
finished, and send both versions to Paolo (1).

And they should all be shot, too...
