Hey Rob,
When does the current project end? I am REALLY busy with
interviews right now, but I want to submit. (I'll bet this was in the
FAQ that I didn't browse through before I wrote this...<sigh> )

The current project is slated to end at the end of March, about 7 weeks.

Well I'd hate to leave this group when this project is about to end and
a new one about to begin.

I've gotten too many responses saying they are interested in both the
MATRIX revamp, and/or the CAS write up. It sounds to me like these are
good ideas for the next project, or something similar, or even more.

Are there any ideas as to what the next project is going to be?

Some of the ideas are for perhaps another ShadowLore style-rulebook, or
perhaps another threee atmosphere book (right now we have people, places,
and plots, perhaps we could do corps, politics, etc). I'd like to maybe
do up an atlas of different towns around the world (I wanna do mankato
and Minneapolis/St. Paul, perhaps Duluth and Bemidji).

One of the problems is that some projects don't work very well with 100
people contributing to it. A matrix re-write would be very difficult
because you will have 100 people all with different opinions about how
the matrix actually works, and you'll spend more time defining your
paramenters than you willdoing actual work. This is what doomed
KAGE-CAR. Too many differing opinions to get a cohesive idea together.

Those kind of projects are better handled in a private manner with 5 or
so people.

The NERPS projects I'm trying to come up with are generic enough that no
matter what your opinion of SR rules or the type of game you can run, you
can easily pick and chose stuff without losing out.

If he next project became 'Let's rewrite the matrix', we'd spend six
months trying to reach a common reference before we could even BEGIN to
rewrite anything. This is bad, because we want each project to last
maybe three to four months.
