You realize, of course, that there are easily ten thousand
completely distinct word processor formats. Much easier to include all
the popular ones, so people can translate 'em. Almost every Macintosh or
Windows word processor can handle RTF and/or Postscript, so....

I had mainly meant the formats discussed on the message I had replied to.

For the NAGTTW: are we following the sourcebook format, with Fun
Facts first and then an extended section? Or is it a sort of free for all?
I thought I saved a message on this but I can't find it...

Thanks
Bill

I think it's best to have the GM info at the back of the book, not after
each article. That makes it easier for non-GMs to skip it. (I find the
arrangement used in Threats annoying because it means players reading the
book so easily read into the GM section that follows each chapter.)

So what I suggest you do, is clearly mark a section of gamemaster info at
the end of your article, and I'll put all those together (in the same
order as the actual articles) at the back of the book. Come to think of
it, making two separate files is even better -- one with player
information and one for gamemasters' eyes only.

[separate NAGTTWs for players and GMs]

Like the Denver set, but a box is so hard to make in a word processor.
Come to think of it, with a large enough paper size and a few well-placed
folding and cutting lines, then printing it out on cardboard... :)

I must have missed the start of this discussion, but I think making it into
two seperate books would be a good idea. I really can't trust my players
one bite ;) And it would be nice to hand them a sheaf of 40 or so papers
and say "Ok, read this before we play again". For ideas as to how the
books would be set up, I think one should be the standard tourist guide
type thing, aka Seattle Sourcebook (depending on what everyone's articles
looks like). Then the GM's only part would have more detailed stats,
information that requires legwork to find, etc...

Just my two cents (Canadian, for that matter)

My idea too, though the GM's book shouldn't be in the normal shadowtalk
format, as that makes it hard to find the real information that's hidden
in the chatter. Anyone who is thinking about putting a GM chapter in his
or her article, it would be best to write it as a rulebook, not as a
sourcebook. Make references to the actual article if necessary, but don't
waste space with in-game comments if they're not absolutely necessary.
