What's the current state of France in the NERPS globe project?
And what is the deadline?

Why do I ask that? Because I feel a strong urge to try myself at
writing some stuff for France Part. Only if I have the time, and of
course the ideas...

The state of France in 2058 has been broken up. The
southern mediteranean region (Cannes and all that) has
shattered into dozens of city states, similar to how Italy
broke apart. I don't believe the border with Spain is
really clear, nor is it heavily patrolled (that's what I
took from Black Madonna). The northern and central regions
are still intact, but from what little I've seen, France
appears to me to be a tinderbox ready to explode (ala
pre-Revolution). Lots of tension, but the government still
has a tight lid on things.

I could be wrong, but like I said, given the little info I
have seen, that is how I see France in 2058.

Nobody has volunteered to write about it, except for the small bit in
Erik's global overview.

There's no deadline; if one will be set, I will clearly announce it on the
list so everybody knows.
