As an alternative to Hayden's proposed "CyberPSIs", what if
we go with something like out of _Coils_? (Essentially,
machine telepathy, but you still have to make tests to
get things done in the net.)

The net result would be "Physical Adepts vs. Samurai",
"MatrixPSIs vs. Deckers". (In a very gross, oversimplified
way.) Essentially, people that run the net with their
own naked brain, but not getting any special advantages
for doing so. (Except not needing a ton of cash to buy
an expensive, fragile deck, just use that infinitely
expensive, fragile brain instead. :-)

I know everyone is going to mumble "But human brains can't
interface with computers, etc. etc.", but it *has* been
done in the genera, and it would produce a character that
acts much different than a decker, *AND* would be able to
run without a deck, (which has a certain sex appeal.)

If we make "computer interfacing" sufficiently expensive
(in PSI points) that they mostly can't do much else PSI,
it probably isn't even unbalancing.

Or have people just given up on the concept of MatrixPSIs?
(And I shall be thwapped soundly if so.)

BTW, the NERPs subscription info still lists the current
project as (something else that escapes my mind but not
PSI).

I'm definitely with this. A kind of mind's interaction with the
matrix. To hell all reality checks, this is mind power!

Err... and the programs?

Bye,Paolo

ShadowLore II. PSI may either be part of SL2 or seperate, but that is
not important right now.
