Naval Ordnance
Part 2 0f 4

Launcher, ASROC, Mk 112: Dedicated surface ASW assets require the
fast response that the Mark 112 eight cell ASROC II Launcher
provides. The use of extra preloaded cells makes for fast reload
time u nder the most adverse conditions.

Cf Weight Cost
Control Unit 3 45 kg 125,000¥
Mark 112 ASROC Launcher 20* 400 kg 75,000¥

Notes: This system is normally installed during vessel construction.
Weight of launcher without missiles. * Cf rating is for the below
deck portion of the mount. This mount is not suitable for a po p-up
or concealed turret. The availability, street index for this
weapons system is left to the Gamemaster's discretion.

Launcher, Torpedo, 324mm, Single Tube, Mark 96: For those
applications where there is insufficient space for the installation
of a triple tube unit the Mark 96 fits the bill. Its compact size
and lig ht weight permits its installation on small patrol craft or
with little loss of cargo space on merchant ships. Steam or
compressed air in its ejection system permitting its utilization on
a wide vari ety of ships. The electro-hydraulic traversing controls
permits remote operation from the CIC or bridge.

Cf Weight Cost
Control Unit 2 20 kg 25,000¥
Mark 96 Launcher 4* 350 kg 50,000¥

Notes: * Cf rating is for the below deck portion of the mount.
Weight of launcher without a torpedo. To permit fire forward along
the vessels main axis, the mount requires a minimum clear horizo
ntal area 6 meters long by 2 meters wide along the side of the
vessel. An area of 6 meters by 3 meters permits 180 traverse and 6
by 6 meters permits 360 baring obstruction. This mount is not suita
ble for a pop-up or concealed turret. The availability, street index
for this weapons system is left to the discretion of the GM.

Launcher, Torpedo, 324 mm Triple Tube, Mark 73: Despite ill founded
opinions to the contrary their is still a place for ship launched
torpedoes. This time proven design provides this capability. Cap able
of launching any 324mm torpedo the Mark 73 can utilize either Steam
or compressed air in its ejection system permitting its utilization
on a wide variety of ships. The electro-hydraulic traversi ng
controls permits remote operation from the CIC or bridge. When the
launcher is augmented with a Mark 23 Loading mechanism complete
hands of operation is possible.

Cf Weight Cost
Control Unit - 2 20 kg 35,000¥
Mark 73 Launcher 5* 950 kg 150,000¥
Mark 23 Loader 100 1500 kg 75,000¥

Notes: * Cf rating is for the below deck portion of the mount.
Weight of launcher without a torpedo. Launcher requires a clear
horizonal area of 6 meters by 4 meters to permit a 180 traverse
an d 6 by 6 meters to permits a 360 traverse baring obstruction.
This mount is not suitable for a pop-up turret. Loader must be
located on the same level as the launcher and oriented such that the
cen terline of the loader aligns with the centerline of the launcher.
The availability, street index for this weapons system is left to
the discretion of the GM. Mini-Screener Fixed Tube Chaff and Flare
launcher System: Small patrol craft need the protection provided by
an off-board countermeasures system but often lack the space for a
112mm system like the Screener . For those applications we are
pleased to offer the 76mm Mini-Screener . Its light weight and
reduced dimensions (130x600x300mm [w x l x h]) of the launcher units
and of the decoy grenades make it suitable for the smallest of
patrol craft. Like its bigger brother it can be automatically
triggered by the vessels EW Countermeasures control system or
manually from control panels on the br idge or in the CIC. The launch
tubes can be fired one at a time or in a series.

ECM Weight Cost
12 tube Launcher - 82 kg 6,000¥
24 tube launcher - 145 kg 12,000¥
Control Unit - 28 kg 10,000¥
M171 Chaff 2 .95 kg 250¥
IR Decoy 2 .74 kg 350¥

Notes: Launcher must have no overhead obstructions above its monting
location. Dimensions given are for a 12 tube launcher, the 24 tube
is 275x600x300mm [w x l x h]. Chaff is only effective when depl oyed
along the line between the firer and target and between the missile
and the target. IR decoys are only effective if deployed + or -
22.5 of the line between the firer and the target and between the
missile and the target. The ECM value of chaff can be added to the
vessels electronic based ECM. It takes 2 complex actions or a
complete turn, which ever is shorter for a decoy cloud to develop to
effective levels (2 seconds). It has a 10 meter radius and remains
effective for 2 minutes. Use the Smoke Rules (FoF p85) for wind and
dispersal effects. IR decoys are only effective if deployed + or -
22.5 of the line between the firer and the target and between the
missile and the target. Decoy remains effective for 1 minute or hit
by a missile. The resulting explosion will act as a decoy for its
duration The ECM value of a IR decoy can only be applied against
weapons using IR based sensor systems. The availability, street
index for this weapons system and its ammunition is left t o the
discretion of the GM.

Oerlikon 20mm KAB Cannon: The classic Oerlikon single 20mm cannon
fully capable of engaging both surface and aerial targets. The naval
pedestal mount requires no electrical power as traverse and ele
vation is controlled by the gunners shoulder harness.

Ammo Mode Weight Cost
20mm KAB, Naval 50 drum SA/FA 395 kg 9200¥

Notes: Use autocannon range table. Damage per ammunition. The
availability, street index for this weapons system is left to the
discretion of the GM.

Oerlikon 35mm KDE Cannon: A proven anti-aircraft weapon naval use
with capability to engage surface targets. Available in Single, and
Double Mounts utilizing Computer Controlled Gun Laying. Mounts are
also capable of independent operation with Fully Automatic
Stabilization . In addition to the on mount ammunition supplies the
mounts can be fed directly from the vessels magazine.

Ammo Mode Weight CF Cost
Single Mount 300 SA/FA 235kg 3 23,200¥
Double Mount 600 SA/FA 456kg 5 42,500¥

Notes: Use autocannon range table. Damage per ammunition used. This
weapon may not use the called shot procedure against a human or
meta-human sized target. The damage value against human and meta-hu
man targets is 12D. Cf rating is for the below deck portion of the
mount. Availability and Street Index of this weapon is left to the
discretion of the Gamemaster.
