Naval Ordnance
Part 3 0f 4

Screener , Fixed Tube Chaff and Flare launcher System: Even the most
sophisticate ship board ECM system can benefit from the addition of
a off board countermeasures system The Screener manufactured by
TMC's Naval Ordinance Division provides that capability. The 3 tube
launcher (normally mounted in pairs, port and starboard) can fire
three different types of 112 mm shells M171 Chaff, IRAM (in
fra-red anti-missile) and the Gemini combo. While a single cartridge
can provide coverage for fast patrol craft the exact number of
cartridges needed to provide coverage will vary with the size of sh
ip. The Screener can be activated automatically by a EW
Countermeasures control system or manually from a master control
panel normally located at the CIC or an auxiliary panel located on
the bridge . Each 3-tube launcher is shipped with a ready locker with
a 18 cartridge capacity.

ECM Weight Cost
Launcher - 362 kg 25,000¥
Control Unit - 28 kg 15,000¥
M171 Chaff 3 7 kg 650¥
IRAM 3 5 kg 750¥=

Gemini 3 10 kg 1100¥

Notes: Chaff is only effective when deployed along the line between
the firer and target and between the missile and the target. IR
decoys are only effective if deployed + or - 22.5 of the line betw
een the firer and the target and between the missile and the target.
The ECM value of chaff can be added to the vessels electronic based
ECM. It takes 2 complex actions or a complete turn, which ever is
shorter for a decoy cloud to develop to effective levels (2
seconds). It has a 15 meter radius and remains effective for 4
minutes. Use the Smoke Rules (FoF p85) for wind and dispersal
effects. I R decoys are only effective if deployed + or - 22.5 of
the line between the firer and the target and between the missile
and the target. Decoy remains effective for 2 minutes or hit by a
missile. Th e resulting explosion will act as a decoy for its
duration The ECM value of a IR decoy can only be applied against
weapons using IR based sensor systems. The availability, street
index for this we apons system is left to the discretion of the GM.

Seafire : For a fast response against aircraft and sea skimmers the
Seafire naval laser system by Electro Optics Industries is hard to
beat. The fast recycle time means no waiting for follow up sho ts.
Its small size rapid response servos makes it ideal for close in
point defence. Utilization of many Pulsar componants and its
modular construction makes service and repair fast and easy.

Ammo Mode Damage Weight Cost
38 SA 16S 42 350,000¥

Notes: The Availability, Street Index for these systems is at the
GM discretion. The legitimate purchase of these systems is limited
to holders of valid End-User Certificates. Ballistic armor as no
effect against the Seafire, impact armor is halved (round down).
Apply the following modifications to the weapons power level -3 for
medium, -5 long, and -7 extreme. Smoke further reduces the power
level by 1 for every 4 meters passes through.

Seaflash SSM: Close-in naval combat requires high speed missile
system with a short acquisition time. The Seaflash Surface to
Surface missile system meets that need. This high speed short ranged
anti -ship missile system is idea for small harbor patrol craft and
close in ship defense for larger vessels.

Intel Damg Weight Cost
Control Unit - - 28 kg 35,000¥
Launcher - - 362 kg 17,000¥
Missile 4 16D 35 kg 5,700¥

Notes: The Availability, Street Index for this weapons system is
at the discretion of the GM. The legitimate purchase of these
systems is limited to holders of valid End-User Certificates.
Launche r mounts 8 missiles. Launcher must be mounted on a horizontal
surface at least 1.5 meters square with no overhead obstructions.
Launcher and control unit requires electric power and internal space
of 6 cf.

SeaNova : Hard targets require heavy firepower and SeaNova by
Electro Optics Industries delivers it. This high powered laser has
the necessary power to insure one shot kills on light tanks and
APCs. With the large number common components with the Seafire ,and
NovaStar systems the SeaNova has limited logistic impact while
providing for quick service and repair turn around time.

Ammo Mode Damage Weight Cost
20 SA 22S 53
475,000¥

Notes: The Availability, Street Index for these systems is at the
GM discretion. The legitimate purchase of these systems is limited
to holders of valid End-User Certificates. Ballistic armor as no
effect against the StarFire, impact armor is halved (round down).
Apply the following modifications to the weapons power level -3 for
medium, -5 long, and -7 extreme. Smoke further reduces the power
level by 1 for every 4 meters passes through.

Seashrike HARM: Attack the enemies sensors and he can't attack you.
Using the same homing system as the air launched Shrike
anti-radiation missile the Seashrike can successfully attack enemy
ships by homing in on the ships own radar emissions.

Intel Damg Weight Cost
Control Unit - - 14 kg 4,900¥
Launcher - - 106 kg 9,300¥
Missile 7 16D 34 kg 10,000¥

Notes: The Availability, Street Index for this weapons system is
at the discretion of the GM. The legitimate purchase of these
systems is limited to holders of valid End-User Certificates.
Launch er mounts 8 missiles. Launcher must be mounted on a horizontal
surface at least 1.5 meters square with no overhead obstructions.
Launcher and control unit requires electric power and internal space
o f 6 cf. The Seashrike is a weatherproof and salt water resistant
version of the air launched Shrike missile. While a Shrike could be
mounted and fired from a Seashrike launcher the missile would be of
questionable reliability if left mounted for any length of time.

Seasparrow, Point Defence Missile: This fire and forget missile
system increases ship survivability by providing the capability of
countering single, simultaneous, and multiple launched threats. It
represents the latest in anti-ship missile defence systems. The
Seasparrow's use of a dual mode passive RF/IR seeker head provides
for effective engagement of all types of sea-skimmer anti-ship missi
le systems. It uses existing shipboard senors for target
identification and has a full automatic mode. Missiles are shipped
in disposable 4 missile launch modules permitting rapid reloading.

Intel Dam Weight Cost
Control Unit - - 24 kg 6,900¥
Launcher - - 196 kg 9,300¥
Missile 5 12D 134 kg 92,000¥

Notes: The Availability, Street Index for this weapons system is
at the discretion of the GM. The legitimate purchase of these
systems is limited to holders of valid End-User Certificates.
Launch er mounts 16 missiles. Launcher must be mounted on a
horizontal surface at least 2.5 meters square with no overhead
obstructions. Weight and cost is for a loaded four missile pod.
Launcher and cont rol unit requires electric power and internal space
of 6 cf.
