Subject: NERPS [Stuff] (New Cyberware) Equipment for Cybertorsos
Date: Fri, 6 Feb 1998 17:04:30 +0100
Hi Chummers!

I don't know what's up with you, but there was a long silence in NERPS.
Are you all working or what??? I hope it is at least something usful for
SR! :-)
I've got a little bit time now and decided it was time to get flamed
again for my stuff. Therefore I did something new for you, and send you
(surprise!!!) new cyberware. :-)

Ok, here it goes:

Cybertorso - Additional features
================================
It is possible to install several different kinds of features into a
cybertorso, by minimising some internal organs. The maximum amount of
weapons or other equipment is 7 kilogram for humans, orks, elves or
dwarfs and 10 kilogram for trolls. All weapons are calculated with one
half of their normal weight, ammunition is calculated for this purpose
with full weight.

1) Storage space

The water- and air-tight storage space can be secured with an internal
maglock is armoured and isolated with the same level as the rest of the
torso. The torso of a human, ork, dwarf or elf can accept 7 kilogram of
equipment, a troll torso can accept 10 kilogram. The internal space is
about 30 centimetres wide, 15 centimetres high and 20 centimetres deep.
The internal space of a troll torso is 40 x 20 x 30 centimetres. The
cost is 15.000 ¥ for all metahumans, besides troll which have
to pay 20.000 for the storage space. In stalled equipment costs
four-times the normal price. It is possible that additional to this
equipment a DNI has to be implanted to make full use of the stuff,
which of course does cost essence. The lock can also be controlled via a
DNI.

2 Semiautomatic pistol/ SMG

The first weapon to be installed in a cybertorso is a semiautomatic
pistol or a SMG. The range is reduced to “heavy pistol” du the shorter
barrel of the weapon. These weapons always use 20-shot drum-magazin.
The concealability of such weapons is 16 until fired and 12 after being
used. The price is four times the normal price. Weight is calculated
with one-half of the normal weight. It is also possible to install a
sound suppresser, but this lowers the concealability to 4, because the
silencer projects out of the torso.

3 Grenade launcher

The direct alternative to a SMG is the grenade launcher pistol. Similar
to the SMG it uses a 10-shot drum-magazin. The range is reduced to
“heavy pistol” du the shorter barrel of the weapon. The concealability
of such weapons is 16 until fired and 8 after being used. The price is
four times the normal price. Weight is calculated with one-half of the
normal weight.

4 Heavy pistol

The last kind of weapon that can be installed is a heavy pistol. The
range of the weapon does not change. These weapon always uses 20-shot
drum-magazin. The concealability of such weapons is 16 until fired
and 12 after being used. The price is four times the normal price.
Weight is calculated with one-half of the normal weight. It is also
possible to install a sound suppresser, but this lowers the
concealability to 4,because the silencer projects out of the torso.
