Subject: New phone charges for the internet (fwd)(OT)

I recived the following from another mailing list I am a member of.
It was a forwarded message that was forwarded from a Microsoft
employee. I tend to belive the veracity of it. I also think that it
was an important enough matter to the members of the list to warrant
posting it. I personally intend to send a statement to the FCC in
opposion to this proposal. I also wish to encourage any one else that
belives in the veracity of this message to pass it on.

My appolegies to the non-American members of this list. for taking up
your time with this matter but it could have a major impact on our
use of the internet.

Well in Canada I think that they made this illegal with a law stopping
companies from owning a monopoly, this is due to the fact that the
phone company is now operating there own ISP and so are some of the
alternative long distance companies. maybe in your country there is
similiar laws that you could use to your advantage.

Well good luck and lets hope that it doesn't happen
