I guess at this stage that it goes without saying that the NAGTTROTW is
dead. So, I think the time has come to ask the blantantly obvious
question?

WHAT IS THE CURRENT NERPS PROJECT?

There have been a few ideas bandied about of late, two of which have
been mine (and it's nice to think people seem to like them) and Gurth
has posted the guidelines for the "Stuff" book, although I don't
actually remember any formal decision being made as to which is the new
project.

So, before people start running off and doing all sorts of wierd and
wonderful things, can we have an edict from the NERPS powers that be to
declare:

1) what the hell we are supposed to be working on
2) what the deadline for the current project is
3) what the next projects are to be (in order) and the estimated start
and end dates for each of the projects.

I think if we can get these things down in black and white, and even get
them posted up on the NERPS page, it will go a long way to increasing
the focus of this group and probably actually increase the chance of us
getting another book completed.

Which I reckon is a good thing.

cheers
Geoff

to misquote Mark Twain, "The reports of NAGTTROTW's death have been greatly
exagerated!"

There are currently two (officially) active projects:

1) NAGTTROTW - not quite dead.
2) NERPS: STUFF - started in Febuary IIRC.

Correction: Adam J reposted the guidelines. Gurth is probably still off
on vacation.

Yes it is a good thing, but these decisions will need to wait until "The
Big Cheese" returns. Until then, take a deep breath, relax and join in the
open debate.

Stuff and NAGTTW.

Because it hasn't, because Gurth isn't here at the moment. He may be at my
house this week, and I'll talk to him then about it.

NAGTTW and Stuff

Deadlines will be set when I talk to Gurth.

Ditto.

I'll be making a post today with more future project ideas.
