Yeah, Supposedly here we can discuss all you ever wanted to know about SR.
Discuss homebrew stuff, new material (new possible metahumans, new
equipments, spells out the wazoo, a few new critters, so on), new fiction,
and anything else I've forgot. The fact it's so quiet on this ML is due
maybe to Rec.games.frp.cyber which is pretty much 70% SR related material.
But I still would like to know what's up with shadow of the mind and how
far discussion on the psionics has gotten to.

pong...

HEy Gurth, what's been going on? Either the list has been totally dead, or I
was somehow dropped from the list...

So, is Edge Runners complete? Will I be able to find it on Paolo's page?

Is there a new project yet, or are we still trying to get the Underworld
thing going?

Sorry if this bugs anyone, but I've been out of touch for at least several
weeks, perhaps even longer.

Later!

I'm not Gurth but I feel like saying sumthin anyway *grin*

Edge is done and already available on Paolo's. Got it myself a few days
ago. :)

I wasn't aware that shadow of the mind was done either.... :(

well the list hasn't been too active. Hopefully it'll change though.

Oh by the way, Fasa's got a homepage in case anyone's been living under a
Rock. The adress is Http://www.fasa.com/index.html. Not very hard to
remember is it? They still need to keep workin' on it but it looks nice so
far. They have everything to be released up to october.

Damn, I have been out of touch. I'll have to wander over to Paolo's page and
see how Gurth butchered my baby...;-)

So, JD, what's the status on Shadows of the Mind?

Proposal: Since things have been deathly silent, even while I was gone,
maybe we need to come up with a new project, one that hopefully would include
the work previously written. Strikes me we need a new, and exciting project
to get this list to wake up and get out of bed.

Thanks for the info.

No kidding. I think since I got on the list (about mid-march) the most mail
I've gotten at the most is about 1 mail a day- if not one a week.

hmm. One evilly wicked idea might be comming up with a system for
converting World of Darkness stuff to Shadowrun. However there could always
be copyright problems or sumthin. *shrug* that's my 2 cents.

I'm still here (sorry :) I haven't posted anything because
I'm waiting for an official "The NAGTTW is the next
project" post. Along with a specific list of what's off
limits, due to allready being published or because FASA is
allready working on it.

I wasn't on NERPS when The Underworld was decided as the
last project, so I'm not quite sure how the process works.

I'm kinda doing the same thing. I've got some of the basics worked out for
my area, actually, I take that back, I've got about 20 pages done, and it's
only half finished, butCleveland is a project myself and a few others have
been working on for a while now...:)

I'm new to the lists here, mostly, so I'm not sure what kind of formats and
what not you use for these...

My questions are these:

1) What kind of length do you want or need. I could prob goanywhere from
just a page or two, to 20+...

2) Are we going to have a set, standard format that everyone will use so
that we have some uniformity to the book?

3) And is this the official Project? (We're waiting for the go ahead...:))

That's all...:) For now...:)

Hi!

I just joined this fantastic order of yours of NERP! I think it is a
brilliant idea that all the players and GMs out on the NET can pool there
resources into more great shadowrun material.

Just one note, I'm a medical student, and as such have access to alot of
understanding as to the physiological and anatomical basis by which our
bodies function. I have discovered that the Shadowrun sourcebook material
has been well researched and are somehow imaginably plausible (for the
future).

However, on the NET, I have discovered alot of material, especially
bioware notes, which run so contrary to established medical knowledge
that they simply could not work, no matter how advanced the game year is!

So a note to anybody who wants to write bioware material, beware! There
are people watching!

are p

For example, I remember reading about a haemaglobin replacement called
'MetaHaeme' or something like that. The physiological illogies that this
piece of bioware generate are so implausible to be laughable. (This is
not to take anything away from the author, whoever you are, you have some
interesting ideas!)

Thats all for now!

Ok how about this for a project a spread on non standard medical equipment.
Like specific medical equipment no EMT should be with out. The medical kit
even the trivella(?) doesn't cover enough thing like defiberlators, specific
job drugs, anti-shock trousers, a sedative and painkillers besides patched.
etc you get the idea. If this new guy has so in depth medical knowledge he
could help greatly on this.

If your 20 pages is for a half-finished work, then I think you should
probably shorten it a bit for inclusion in the NERPS book. 5 to 15 pages
should about do it for most places, I think -- after all, you can always
publish (no wait, you can't use that word for electronically making stuff
available :/ ) the rest on a web page.

Not really, although I would like you all to stick to the way FASA does
coutnry write-ups, that way there is a bit of uniformity in the book. Look
at the Neo-A Guide to North America, that's about the thing we're aiming
for here.

Great idea Nightlight...

Unfortunately, I have to stress that you are talking to a medical
STUDENT. Hence my medical knowledge at this time is limited to say the
least. However, my knowledge base is certainly growing all the time.

So, I can certainly try to help where I can, but don't expect too much.
I'm not too crash hot on the clinical stuff yet but bioware and cyberware
I can certainly comment on, especially on the physiological, anatomical
and neuroanatomical terms that SR2 focuses on so much.

See ya.....

I resemble that remark. I wanted to do the epic adventure, and since I
