RE> That Wavebook (Re: That sea-colony)
To Net Enhancements for Roleplaying Shadowrun<NERPS@********.itribe.net>

Actually, I took Morninman's CP stuff and converted it into
SR stats, with SR corporate names (there isn't an Arasaka in
the established SR world after all). I had never actually
intended to use it for anything but my own personal
purposes, but suggested it for other people to see as an
example of what can be done, as a guideline. Never was it
intended to be a NERPS submission. In fact, I still haven't
sent it out to anyone yet, simply because I work too damn
much.

Speaking of that (the not sending part), because I have
multiple e-mail account and names, there's a fair chance I
might miss you, unless you send directly to my home e-mail
address (GKoth2258@***.com). Send it there, I can make sure
you get my SR version of Morninman's CP Wavebook.

So what the hell is exactly going on anyway? Are we doing
NERPS: Undersea _and_ NERPS: NAGTRW? Or just one of them?
Or what? Can we get a ruling from the side judge?

*sigh* Maybe I won't be sick this weekend and I can actually
do some of this work...

I heard you re-did the Wavebook into CP stats. Well, since
I know
Morninman (the original writer), I believe he wouldn't be
pleased at
your conversion if you didn't have his permission. Also,
just a
conversion wouldn't be so bad, but I hear you changed the
names of
his items. Have you asked permission to do this? And have
you listed
Morninman as the original writer of the supplment?

I know the Morninman has dropped off of netland, so
permission is not
likely. However, I think that you should be careful what
you do with
other people's works, especially if you have made
unauthorized
changes.

Also note that since I was asked to collaborate on Wavebook
(the
undersea vehicles design section), I will be finishing
Wavebook on my
future web page. I haven't got permission (again, since
Morninman is no longer on email), but I will definately be
giving
credit where credit is due. I hope you are doing the
same...

P.S.: Please don't think of this as a flame...And I'd like
a copy of
the Wavebook to see what you have done (so far I'm going on
hearsay)...

Does that mean me? :) The way I see it, the undersea stuff fits in with
the Guide To The World, since it's pretty much just another geographical
location -- the difference being that it sits on the bottom of an ocean
instead of on a continent.

You're probably just seeing a lot of traffic because so
many people feel that they have something to contribute to
the ocean environment. The ocean, like space, is a hobby
for some of us. Not a lot of people have specific cities
(like Albuquerque) as a hobby :)

Just as a general side note it doesn't have to be underwater. We can only
explore a few miles down presently. There is alos the entire surface.
Surface colonies, surface ships, etc. should also be included. The oceans a
big place lets not forget half of it. :)
