This was brought up before; truth is, there really _isn't_ a
M*A*J*O*R difference between Psionics and Magic as it was last written.
Psis are better at some things than Mages, and vice versa.
It is when you lay aside the game mechanics that the main
differences show up. I'll repost my "history" in the next message to show
some of the sociological stuff...also, Psionics is extremely new and
generally misunderstood in 2054, which makes things even more interesting.
