Not everyone. The practitioners claim as such ... some may do so with
conviction, others maybe less so. The magical theoreticians as well as
computer shall vehemently deny any such assertions. There shall be
widely and violently conflicting beliefs.
Further than that, merely because there is some confusion, or at least
conflicting viewpoints on the issue does not indicate that this phenomena
is generally accepted as metaphysical manipulation on the 'net.
Eventually someone shall lay the truth bare. When this occurs, a large
section of the believing populace shall drop by the wayside.

Once again, incorrect. Perceptions, when it comes to metaphysics, do
/affect/ and can /mold/ reality, especially in the far more mana-rich
environment of Earthdawn; however, there are limits to what belief has
demonstrated capable of altering ... the infusion of metaphysical
energies in to the equation merely widens the realms of possibility, it
does not make the patently impossible true.
As the Dark Lord on High stated at the time, as per my notes, until a
virtual quantum leap in biotechnology is achieved, until there are
genuine organic circuits and computer networks are legitimately living
constructs, there shall be NO magic within the Matrix.
