I hate to point this out, but on top of everything else, this is a
SUSTAINED spell?!?!?!? (!!!) That would mean, if you were feeling
REALLY nasty, you could spell lock this thing into an area, could you
not?

Hmm. One permanently devastating, ever-increasing black hole, coming up,
I would think.
