I figured fiber-optic termination would be common enough that a high
Electronics B/R roll shouldn't be needed. It takes me about 15 minutes today
to cut a fiber-optic and terminate both ends with plugs. In 2050? Who knows,
maybe it's much more common and people don't need all the scopes, heaters, etc
that we need today. Yes, it would be detected unless either the downtime is
short or if the line is not in use. This I figured would give GM's a good
resaon to stomp on players who are tapping everything. Even then, when is the
next time the system administrator will run the network analyser to make sure
everything is running smoothly. >:)

("Huh? Why is the resonance level dropping 12 points for that stretch of
fiber between Mr. Neomi's office and the LAN? Must have a bad fiber, I'll send
a maintanance crew to replace it..." )
