Beyond that depth you have a certain amount of troubl with moveable
joints.... They tend to leak or fail under the prssure. At 2km the
pressure is roughly 200atm.

I don't mind Sonar sytems.... but the cyber version would be a bitch to
set up... You'd need either high/low frequency hearing, dampers (because
it's LOUD chummers), and spatial recognisersin order to get a decent
idea. It also depends how directed the signal is going to be.
Radar wouldn't work under water, in any case. Radar radiation uses
microwaves. Microwaves are absorbed by water which translates it into
heat. It's how your standard oven boils a cup of water.
Perhaps we should just leave the ranges severely handicapped. Yu can't
move that fast under water in any case, so if you just strip all the
ranges for visibility and firing range down, then it's a lot easier to
deal with.
Also consider that Mages are limited by the traditional ranges... there's
no way they can use a sonar/radar system to cast spells.
