Let me tell you it works GREAT!! I tried a similar thing in Rifts...PC's tried out a
Virtual Reality arcade in a travelling Kittani Casino and got (supposedly) dumped when
the thing was attacked by Splugorth (they didn't catch the inconsistancy)..they fought
tooth and nail against overwelming odds and went down one by one. They couldn't believe
that some of thier favorite characters just got trashed and that I (the ever forgiving
GM - I like to give everybody every chance they can get) had killed thier characters.

They just about threw stuff at me when I told them that the lights came back on and huge
letters proclaimed "GAME OVER" as the pods opened with a hiss. (but they liked
it)

When done well it has a real cool effect, but don't over do it, it can crash just as
easy.

-Zim ("There can only be one...") [sorry, couldn't resist :) ]
