Only 21? Hell, I'm 23, going on 53...

You would recognize the Dark Stranger if you were on TK, and really, Gurth,
you don't recognize St. Stan? He's only my sysop and organizer of Edge
Runners...;-0

Okay, let's try to pare things down from the flood of mail (I don't think
I've ever seen this many postings at one time...)

1) Sorry Gurth, I thought that was only an outline story. However, if you
did decide to flesh it out like a more traditional piece of fiction, it would
add a page or two.

2) Underworld topics: Hormone smugglers would be good, since in 2057, the
best street drugs would be created from various hormones, human and
otherwise. Just think what kind of combat drugs might be synthesized from
piasma and hellhounds...This could constitute a large portion of the book.

A group of deckers/hackers would be good. Bunch of computer terrorists, or
practical jokers, or something a little oddball.

As far as magic, maybe something to do with wiz-gangs, or a magical group
that is bent on destroying Seattle (or the world, or whatever). And I've got
an old idea I've used a few times in my own campaign involving a free spirit
crime lord.

3) Lone Star: I've got, buried somewhere, the most recent pay scale for the
LAPD. Doesn't include specialities like SWAT, but it does go from rookie to
police chief. As soon as I find it, I'll mail it off to you Gurth.

4) Neo-Anarchists Guide to the Globe: IF this is our next project, then we
need to start setting guidelines. For example, not to pick on Matti, but to
do Finland, the Baltics, AND parts of Russia would be too much I think. Pick
one large city somewhere in that area, and make it interesting to 2057
runners (BTW Matti, have you heard of Keijo Korhonen (sp?)? He was my
professor last spring on Soviet & post-Soviet foreign policy. He was also
your ambassador to the UN for a few years.).

This would have to go for everybody. In addition, just because you live
somewhere, that does not automatically make it the kind of town shadowrunners
would flock to. If it can be made interesting for the shadows, in 2057, then
cool. Micronesia might not be interesting now, but it's possible that in
2057, there might be enough intrigue for the shadows to be interested.

5) Echo Mirage: I just don't know...It would require a whole lot of work,
and I'm not personally sure of how much interest it would really generate.
But I'll reserve my full judgement for now.

6) Newsletter: Again, I'm not sure. It seems to go contrary to what NERPS
is all about. However, I'm open to all discussion.

7) I hope you don't think I'm trying to take over or anything Gurth. I'm
just trying to get things moving again.

8) I think that's everything. Those of us with project ideas for Underworld,
let's get our asses in gear. And those of us with other project ideas, let's
start getting organized.

Erik
