This leads to Dvix's FAQ page which then points to a dead link at
contextshift.... Not exactly useful. Or if it's not a dead link then
there's something very screwy because even logging into the root of the
address doesn't reveal anything stored there. Ho hum.

Meanwhile you /can/ still find the FAQ for Shadowtk at
http://www.shalako.demon.co.uk/stk/

Posted to PlotD, not for the benefit of the poor chap posting wrongly to
Shadowtk as he seems to be leaving, but for the benefit of all others and
future incursions.

The address listed in the dumpshock mirror of the TK/plot-d faq is what
was given to me when i posted a plea to find the tk faq. At the time
there was no FAQ at the shalako site, and I was getting complaints about
the link to shalako being invalid. I was not notified of the reverting
back of the primary faq location, so how could I update it to be useful,
hrm?

Perhaps next time I won't bother trying to be useful.

I did post into PlotD a few of times upon my return to the net last year
announcing that my site was back up and that the FAQ and Newcomers Guide
were available again. I was unaware of the changed link until last night so
hadn't chased it up. Perhaps I should actually visit Dumpshock once in a
while then instead of just relying on actually posting into the mail list...
My mistake..

Well that's your prerogative, though without trying to be funny or bitchy,
checking links is something that is kinda important with things like this.

Bye.

Actually, it's still useful. It lists the link to the contextshift site,
but it still has a mirror of the FAQ's content. If you hit Dvixen's page
and look at the left hand side, you'll see links to all of the FAQ
sections.

Sorry - the contextshift address is temporarily down, 'cos Force9 in the
UK are incompetent fools who won't reply to email and took SEVEN
weeks to reinitialise an account they shut down in error. Said account
now has no website, so I have to reupload about 30 megs. Great.

And they had the cheek to charge me for those seven weeks and I can't
get anyone on the phone to talk to me. Might be Small Claims Court
time soon.
