Just a quick note from the FAQ for TK:

ShadowTalk FAQ
Part II

[munge, munge]

NOTE: There are some industrious "deckers" that alter the
time-date stamp into saying something else. While this can be fun,
it is generally accepted that only VERY expert deckers can do this,
not listmembers who are too lazy to check the date and time for
a message. It is /not/ a trivial task to change, and even for
the most expert decker, in most cases, is usually not considered
worth the effort to do so.

Needless to say, all my characters except for Ebony Kris have been posting
their time/date stamps. Now given that Kris is the only one with a modified
T/D stamp, that should give you an insight into his abilities.

Hmm. With the discussions being carried on, I am thinking Cait will probably
be dropping the software utility, just because it shouldn't exist.
Nonetheless, her handle (as we all know) has since changed, and thus I
imagine I will simply be hiding it in the form of a new MPCP. But that's
another question: as far as T/D stamps go, the host system must use some
info from the remote, yes? Could this portion be effectively masked through
utilities? And another question, which I did ask, was about the T/D format:
FASA made it clear that European systems used a European date format.
Wouldn't somebody logging into the net in *the* Tir then be using a European
format? Or are we assuming this is a Seattle local board, which we all (for
some reason) traverse RTG's, LTG's, and perverse sattelite bounces so that
we can log in to a Seattle-local machine?

If he is so damn good, then why does he have to prove it?

Perhaps it's the ego thing. Perhaps he likes a touch of personality in his
T/D stamp. Or maybe he just does it to annoy you.

Guys, guys, just relax a little will ya? Why don't we just ALL drop
the modified T/Ds. There's very little point in debating about something
so trivial. Jeez...
