So, someone here most likely, has a virus and is continuing to spread
it. I'm still getting virus-laced mail to my current and former account
that I used to use with this list on an almost daily basis. Also, this
is the only mailing list that I use with my current e-mail address.

I do now have one clue. I've never heard of: jessicachr@***.com yet aol
thinks I've sent a message to her, most likely due to Klez or one of the
other popular e-mail worms spoofing the From: field with another name
from the user's address list, namely my old one: mach@****.caltech.edu.
Many times viruses kludge up the From: field as well, so that is
unreliable to backtrack, but the To: field has to be valid for the virus
to propagate. If you can do a search on your mailer and find the
address jessicachr@***.com, then it is likely you are one of the
infected parties. I use the plural, because if you are on this list and
don't have Anti-V software yet, you probably are already infected.

For the last bloody time to everybody who hasn't heard it yet: Buy,
borrow, or download some Anti-viral software and USE IT. I won't advise
anybody who is too cheap to buy software to download it update it, and
use it until the trial period is up, then remove it, because while you
may be clean for the moment, as soon as you drop your protection, you're
back to square one.

Yes, I keep my AV software up to date so all the attacks have hit my
computer and my old college UNIX account like a fly on an 18-wheeler's
windshield, but it is really getting annoying. Belonging to a large
mailing list while using the internet without viral protection is just
plain irresponsible.

Might I suggest AVP to anyone running Windows and NOT using any AV
software... the personal version is free... and allows updates.

Sorry, I'm a likely perpetrator. I'll see what I can do.
