Shouldn't there be a bit more miscilanious talk going on here?
Runners aren't running all the time, and Shadowland is supposed to be
where the decker portion of the running community (and a fair number
of the others) unwind. Howabout some more general talk, like tips, new
developments, gossip?

True....there seemed to be a lot more of this a few years ago, according to
the logs....lack of time? (as it is for me)

It did used to be that way. But, Freddy Frypp is in a coma, so that cuts down
on my characters' babble.

No, what the lack of "babble is due to is many of the "old guard" is
missing...If you'll notice back then there wasn't as many encrypted posts of
minor posts...but lately it seems like everyone is encrypting the vast
majority of posts.

WE NEED MORE BABBLE! EVERYBODY BABBLE! BABBLE!

Talk about new weapons (like SI's Vigiliant -- there must be some
decker interested the coding for the software, or maybe some mage
wondering how to mess with it or...)

Yep. Guess I sorta put him there then forgot to elaborate......

But, never worry, never fear, he'll be back. His birthday's in just
under five weeks so expect him to be back in time to grumble about
that. Lessee, the old fart turns.... eighty-one?

Whoa, I just realized something. Fred was grumbling about his last
birthday here. Sheesh, maybe I better find a hobby or something....

Nah!

To be really honest, I think the ultimate occurance of babble was the Sword
of God vs. Toasty about two years ago.

thank you - jason and I had fun with that one - too bad he wasn't able
to stay in college

Actually - my favorite babble sessions where the original Talky the Toaster
sessions with Lister. Of course - those where - what three? years ago?

back in the old days.

Not too many of us old guard left anymore.

We don't have enough parties - the good times are over and we all have too many
enemies or cops after us. except for those of us who retired before Drake
started up his little group.

Actually, I hope to be reentering the Music biz and cutting down
on 'running, so I'll have more time to devote to socializing...

Unfortunately I can't say the same, but I still think we need to kick back
once in a while. This place is getting so heavy that we might think of
selling the whole damn script to FASA and making some money on it. A lot of
it is well worth it, as Rob once said.
