Q: What is Shadowtk?
A: Shadowtk is an interactive fiction mailing list based off of the GAME
Shadowrun. Shadowtk was based upon the "shadowtalk" seen in many
FASA supplements. For longer stories, Reny's story from VR 1.0
was used as a basis. Mostly, it was designed as a way for people
to use character that they had created in an internet setting.
Shadowtk was designed to be fast and loose. While we keep to a posting
format and stay within the realms of the game, most of this is done
so that new people can join without too much hassle.
Q: Whats it for?
A: To have fun. To serve as a let out for our creative juices and
frustrations. To be something social. Its a Family.
Q: Does FASA have anything to do with it.
A: NO. they know we exhist (we sent Mike (or somebody) a T-shirt.
We are considered fan fiction and they don't have the time to
interact with us (they have to keep on making the source books we buy)
Interestingly enough, we create atleast 5x the material that FASA does
in a year. :)
Q: Why the formatting?
A: We wanted things to look like the source books. *****Private: messages
came about because of the need for messages that carried along the
plot but would never actually be seen by most of the characters.
Other formatting considerations were created to facilitate readability
and standardization.

message it is there to show that an object has been imbedded in the

it like hyper text with linking and everything.
Q: What should my character be like?
A: Basically anything you would play in a normal game. Yes, people do
use some abnormal characters, but they are rather few and done by the
more experienced members. Start of simple with a character you know.
Mostly just try to portray them as a capable person but new to the
board and looking for something (work, a friend, an enemy, info)
Q: Who is the Fearless Leader?
A: Robert Hayden, the guy who started the whole thing. It was either call
him "Fearless Leader" because he took the job on his shoulders or
we would have to paste "sucker" on his forhead. We chose "Fearless
Leader" because it sounds a look cooler and we would never get to
see his forhead. Plus - would you rather send gummy bears to a guy
named Fearless Leader or sucker?
