I could be wrong, but didn't one of the Shadowrun Novels involving the UB
in it also involve Ares. If my memory is right the book was written by
Nigel Findley and it's not "Lone Wolf". What was it called? Oh yeah,
2XS!

Was it Ares in 2XS?
