I just wanted to say WOW. I'm *very* pleased with the pick-up in volume
on TK over the past week or two. Keep it up -- I'm actually getting
excited about getting into some plots again, and to be honest it's been
some time since that has happened.

That'll be the change in part of your management team... ;-)

No, seriously, I was thinking about this, and I think the increase in -tk volume
is mirrored by an even bigger increase in plotd volume, and I think this extra
talking about things, and more proactive advice/help/propositioning ;-) from the
Dread Executor's is a Good Thing - it means that a lot of posters that in the past
would've been one-off's are now hanging about, and the general atmosphere is
much more upbeat.

Also, Doc's joined us.... ;-)))

Basically, keep discussing stuff on plotd - the way Cutter's and Doc's stuff elicited big
discussions there was most encouraging - reading all that BG stuff makes me much more
inclined to join in...

Keep it up, kids....

Heh heh....

glad my flounderin' makes for good readin'.

*grin*

I'm just worried (tho it doesn't bother me) that people on the listserv who
only check their mail once every few days are gonna be pissed at the 40
messages in one day kinda thing.

Good for us as players (for the reasons you mentioned) but bad for us in
that we might lose some cuz they can't handle the traffic.

I suppose they could always remove their names from the mailing list and
just read off the site...

*shrug*

Ahh well...i'm happy.

I think the most we ever had was around 75-100 in one day during Monica Wars

bad thing. :)

Serious volume today. You guys are going to kill my account one of
these days.

*grin*

A couple of things (in the order (more or less) of how I read them):

1) I sit corrected on the crash, although I still think more technology
should have been lost.

2) Pete, if you consider Ratspeak a nice guy .... you obviously have
remained on Ratspeak's good side.

3) Power level discussion is interesting as usual. My "world shaking
events" seem to rattle a city for a while, and then simmer down. The
characters impact their local environment, but I wouldn't dare let
things go past that. Even with my most capable mayhem-generators.

I have one rule with my characters. It has to be a fitting death.
Just doing it for the sake of bloodletting is why minor character's
exist. Some of my characters are very easy to take. It completely
depends on the character.

Just so everyone knows: This is my assesment of the Germany story that
I recently did with Frank and Paul.

The Death's crew vs. Haze was effectively a draw. It wasn't a win for
anyone when it comes down to it. (Perhaps save for Nightmare.)

Harley was a complete win for Death's side, and for a person who lost a
job, she came out further ahead than Haze did in the whole matter. At
least in my mind. (She definitely could get more work in Europe
without too much trouble.)

4) I am trying to figure out why would someone go to great lengths to
come after a bunch of shadows for payback. Suggestions are welcome,
although I will warn you that I will probably modify it to suit what I
feel fits my vague ideas.

5) Paul, nice reference to "Ender's Game."

Later,
Mike

Hello Mike,

just some thoughts, which come of my mind, regarding this:

>4) I am trying to figure out why would someone go to great lengths to
>come after a bunch of shadows for payback. Suggestions are welcome,
>although I will warn you that I will probably modify it to suit what I
>feel fits my vague ideas.

The bunch probably has either informations or "things". This is kind of
basic, but I think it is that much basic, that it covers nearly everything.
I think you need to tune just how important it is. Nobody comes after the
lighter of a sarariman, but if it is the lighter of the CEO (whatever that
abrivation means, but I know I choose the right one ;o)) ).

I would also think that I would try to wipe some ones brain clean of any
remembrance of scenes which show that I just murdered J R W Lynch (<Big g>,
please take no offense, it just flashed through my mind).

I actually think the adtunement is what makes thinking of something
difficult. Probably I should not write that much, but even think a wee bit
more <thwap, thwap, twap>

So long Sebastian
